What is Sevenoaks Larder ?
Sevenoaks Larder is a new food support service, which helps residents of Sevenoaks who are struggling to pay for their weekly food shop and is a merger of our two previous projects, Lockdown Larder and Sevenoaks Pantry.
Everyone who works for Sevenoaks Larder is a volunteer, so every penny goes to those who need our help.
Sevenoaks Larder is about so much more than food, we aspires to spread a message of hope and compassion, especially during these difficult times.
Sevenoaks Larder supplements the work of the existing Loaves & Fishes (Sevenoaks) Food Bank and can accept applications from residents of Sevenoaks, Chevening, Chipstead, Dunton Green, Kemsing, Otford, Riverhead, Seal, and Weald.
Sevenoaks Larder provides fresh, as well as non-perishable, foodstuffs to those who are struggling to afford to buy their own food in our community.
Sevenoaks Larder's main aim is to fundraise to be able to provide regular fresh and healthy food shops for our clients.
Sevenoaks Larder will also be collecting and distributing excess stock from supermarkets, and food donations from individuals and businesses. These items can then either be collected from our premises by the client during our opening hours or delivered by one of our volunteers.
Sevenoaks Larder strongly believe that it is vital to try and preserve as much self-respect and dignity as possible for people, and this includes leaving them in charge of what they feed their families as much as possible. People can self-refer or be referred to us by other agencies.
Sevenoaks Larder believes that a single action can make a difference in the community, and collective actions can make the world a better place.
Sevenoaks Larder is Registered Charity 1192371.
